Syracuse Women’s Basketball outlasts California 90-87 in Triple Overtime
Milo Hoffman:
Syracuse was up by nearly 20 heading into the fourth quarter, and if you were to ask anyone inside the dome that this one would go into triple overtime, they’d call you crazy. Well that’s exactly what happened and SU pulled it out over Cal 90-87 in an instant classic.
This one feature buzzer beaters. High IQ plays. But one shot stood out more than the rest.
Dominique Darius:
I think a lot of people in my position would have given up a long time ago. I got emotional because everyone wants to hit a game winning shot, but its just what I’ve been through, it all kind of came to me at once after that shot went in. I’m just grateful to god honestly, I’m grateful that I never gave up on myself, and I’m grateful that the women sitting next to me gave me another opportunity to show what I know I’m capable of doing and helping lead this team to win a lot of games and championships.
Felisha Legette-Jack:
Tie score, it’s her moment. You have to teach kids how to be different. Anyone could have got out their and had that opportunity… She deserved it.
Darius:
I know my teammates trust me and I trust them. We’re just going to grow together. This game I’m just going to take it in know that we made the right plays and got the dub.
Hoffman:
Well its gonna take a lot to play a more roller coaster game than this one. Up next SU takes on Stanford inside the dome on Sunday. I’ll have you covered on twitter, but until then reporting from the dome I’m Milo Hoffman, Citrus TV.
