By Zach Richter

SYRACUSE, NY – Syracuse University is once again requiring flu vaccinations for all of its students come the spring semester. The University is currently hosting vaccinations at the Barnes Center through the end of October. Supervising Pharmacist at The Barnes Center Michelle Frontale is hoping to see the flu vaccination rate on campus pick up next week…

“Once we opened up the appointments last week, obviously the appointment were filling up quickly, we have now vaccinated 2,500 students.”

Syracuse University Sophomore Gabby Kepnes explains that it is such an easy process to schedule your flu shot.

“I went on the wellness portal and just clicked the date that I wanted the flu shot on. It’s super, super easy.”

Syracuse University students do not even need to receive their Flu Shot on campus, they can receive it at any off campus location. However, if you does chose to not receive it on campus, students must submit their proof of their vaccination through the Health Portal. Also, the university is encouraging students to submit this proof sooner rather than later.
