Marshall Street Starbucks Closed Until Further Notice

By Teagan Brown

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — One thing many Syracuse University students build into their busy schedule is a Starbucks run. However, the Marshall Street Starbucks has been closed causing students to be unable to get their drinks

Students speculated this was due to employment shortages, especially because of reasons like there being a “we’re hiring” sign on the door.

CitrusTV reached out to a Starbucks spokesperson who said this was not the case and the closing is temporary due to repairs that must be made at the location.

Workers from J.P. Salmini were in the Starbucks earlier today where they said they’d been working on fixing a radiator, refrigeration, and replacing tiles among other small projects.

One of these contractors described the project as only taking a few more days and said the store would be reopening.

While the popular coffee chain will open again, students are still frustrated with having to go to a further location when the one on Marshall street is in a prime area close to campus.

A Junior,  Emma Caplan, spoke on how this has affected her schedule.

“It’s frustrating that I have to be late to class because Marshall Street is supposed to be a convenient location for things to be in”

No official announcement has been made on an opening date.
