Crunch Roll Over Senators 6-0 and Look To the Playoffs

CHASE:

The Syracuse Crunch won today 6-0 against the Belleville Senators. Center Charles Hudon had two goals in tonight’s game, which now brings him to 29 goals so far this season. This is the most goals he’s ever had in a single season. Coach Ben Groulx had this to say about the team’s performance and with playoffs lurking around the corner…it’s looking pretty good for the Crunch.

COACH:

Our philosophy hasn’t changed. We’re one game at a time and for us finishing second, third, fourth or fifth we know the first matchup will be a tough one. We want to play good. I thought we did that tonight let’s move on and see what we can do tomorrow.

CHASE:

Charles Hudon wasn’t the only player to contribute on offense. Foward Gabe Fortier also had a goal of his own, his first goal in eight games. He praised Hudon as being a leader on this team and helping get out of a rut after not scoring in a pretty long time.

FORTIER:

He’s a pretty amazing player. He works hard every day. He’s really good offensively but defensively too he’s doing the work. Like I said, he’s a great guy on and off the ice and he’s a good example for younger guys like myself.

CHASE:

The Syracuse Crunch are now 7-3 in their past ten games. They are now in third place in the AHL North, jumping over the Senators. The Crunch play the Laval Rocket here at Upstate Medical University Arena. Puck drop is at 7:00 pm. For Citrus TV Sports, I’m Chase Avery.
