Women Businesses Owners at SU

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on March 8th. In March, we recognize female accomplishments as they pertain to history and the breaking down of gender stereotypes. This year’s theme is “Choose to Challenge,” alluding to the idea that we, as individuals can and should challenge our own gender bias’s and work towards a world of collective gender inclusiveness.
In honor of International Women’s Day, I interviewed senior and founder of Flour Power Bread, Morgan Vogul, and junior and founder of Kyra Kourture, Kyra Surgent on their accomplishments as female business owners. As students and female small business owners, Vogul and Surgent have a lot to be proud of and I am honored to say I could highlight their accomplishments.
