SYRACUSE, N.Y. (CITRUSTV NEWS) – Representative John Mannion held a telephone town hall from his Washington office last night. He covered a wide range of topics including the possible impeachment of President Donald Trump, the Epstein Files, and an update on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Mannion spoke to constituents for about an hour. The event was open for call-in questions, some concerned local topics like affordability and energy costs.

Mannion expounded on his membership on affordable energy committees in Washington and ensured callers he was committed to keeping utility costs as low as possible.

“I demanded that the public service commission in the state of New York… not raise the rates for utility companies across the state. But unfortunately, that rate increase was significant,” Mannion said.

Concerns about ICE were raised on the call, and what representatives would do to keep Central New York safe. Callers were curious about Mannion’s plans to hold those named in the Epstein Files accountable, including President Trump.

Another topic raised was what Mannion had to say about a plan to impeach President Trump following a presumed blue wave come the midterms.

“When we do take the gavel in 2027, there will be hearings, investigations, and a case built,” Mannion said.

Mannion referenced Trump’s crypto currency and stated that those who were buying the coin were getting special privileges and favors.

He also said that the weaponization of the Department of Justice and Trump’s threats against journalists were also impeachable.

Mannion told callers that articles of impeachment had been brought to the house floor three times in this session but that he had only voted in favor once, believing that the move did not have enough political support.

However he expressed a strong will to carry out an impeachment should the midterms prove a large enough swing for the democrats.
