Block Party to be Held Virtually This Year

By Sammy Lindell

SYRACUSE, N.Y – Syracuse University’s annual Block party would usually take place in Walnut Park, but this year the concert is being held virtually along with some in person activities on campus.

This event is organized by University Union, which is entirely student run. The team works to put on large scale concert events to keep campus entertained. There will be a virtual performance with well-known artists this Friday, May 14.

Switching from an in person to a virtual setting has been no easy task for those running it. Juliette Milner and Michael Bottazzi have worked very hard to put on this production.

Aside from the live streamed performance there will also be activities on the quad and by the Women’s Building for students to enjoy, such as tie-dye, virtual car racing, and much more.

You can RSVP for these events on University Union’s Instagram page by clicking the link in their bio. Organizers encourage students to attend because it will be a great way to meet other students in person.
