Downtown Syracuse Burger Restaurant Rates Among Best in the Country

SYRACUSE, NY – Ale N’ Angus of Harrison Street in downtown Syracuse earned recognition from ESPN college basketball analyst and noted Duke supporter Jay Bilas last week. The restaurant was featured on a list of the top 15 burgers in college towns nationwide written by Bilas.  The restaurant is no stranger to receiving praise though. They actively advertise themselves as the best burger in New York State and have earned many awards in competitions and tournaments to back up the claims.

Owner Randy Beach was unaware that his restaurant would be featured in an ESPN+ article until a golf buddy sent it to him. Beach then heard from his son that many people had been reaching out from all across the country regarding the new article.

Beach said he felt honored to receive such recognition and he was happy to hear that people all across the country were learning of his restaurant. The restaurant’s strategic location in downtown Syracuse has meant that Bilas isn’t the only celebrity that has visited. Beach recounted serving Bruce Springsteen and James Taylor among others.
