SU Holds Cuse Fit Chats for Students

By Sammy Lindell

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Barnes Center at Syracuse University is offering “‘Cuse Fit Chats,” or virtual video calls with a personal trainer.

Courtney Wagner, the personal trainer coordinator, encourages students to sign up for these chats, as they have been benefitting students since the beginning of the pandemic. Students have had a tough time staying active, especially in quarantine, and these trainers have been helping students set goals for themselves, as well as create diet and workout plans.

Nutsa Beradze, a student Barnes Center employee also finds that these sessions have been extremely vital to the mental and physical health of students in a pandemic setting.

The chats occur Monday through Friday, and to get a personal training session, one must sign up through SU’s Wellness Portal.
