SU Invites Syracuse Alumni for Orange Central This Weekend
By Ilana Epstein
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse’s annual homecoming event, Orange Central, is set to take place this weekend. Alumni from all over the world are scheduled to attend. This year’s events include the Boston College vs. Syracuse tailgate on the quad, several milestone reunions, a ‘Cuse cookout on the quad, and special campus tours and programs.
The largest event, which is the Syracuse University Alumni Awards Celebration, will take place on Friday evening. This event will honor multiple alumni including two distinct individuals, Jim Morris and Eileen M. Collins.
This year’s Orange Central is extra special because many alumni weren’t able to attend Orange Central last year, due to Covid. Orange Central will be honoring past classes who haven’t been able to celebrate since the last in-person event in 2019.
Syracuse University has put many protocols into place regarding vaccinations and Covid tests. This is to be careful of the increase in cases since we are still in the red level.
