Jalen Carey Commits to Syracuse Basketball

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – 2018 guard Jalen Carey announced his commitment to Syracuse on Wednesday afternoon. Pat Lawless on Twitter was first with the initial announcement.

Carey is a four-star recruit according to ESPN and Scout.com. He is also listed as the 34th best player in the 2018 class according to ESPN. Carey’s final six schools included Kansas, Miami (FL), Rutgers, Villanova, and UCONN. His most recent list narrowed down his schools to UCONN and Syracuse.

Carey is from Montclair, New Jersey and goes to Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair. He averaged 21.4 points through 28 games last season. Carey joins five-star recruit Darius Bazley and three-star recruit Buddy Boeheim in the Syracuse Basketball Class of 2018.
