PITTSBURGH, P.A. – Syracuse men’s soccer dropped a 4–2 game to Pittsburgh at Ambrose Urbanic Field, snapping the Orange’s four-game win streak and their recent stretch of clean sheets.

Pitt’s Arnau Vilamitjana led the way with a hat trick, including an eighth-minute penalty that opened the scoring. Syracuse answered quickly as Chimere Omeze slotted home a 15th-minute equalizer off a corner from Ernest Mensah Jr. and Kristjan Fortier.

The Panthers reclaimed the lead before halftime when Albert Thorsen converted a Niklas Sørensen assist in the 33rd minute. Vilamitjana struck again early in the second half, but Michael Acquah responded just two minutes later with his first goal in an Orange uniform, set up by Landon Darko, to cut the deficit to 3-2.

Pitt restored control in the 67th minute when Vilamitjana completed his hat trick from a Logan Oliver feed. The Panthers outshot Syracuse 21-11, with Orange goalkeeper Tomas Hut making six saves.

Syracuse heads to Ithaca next to face Cornell on Tuesday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Berman Field
