Crunch dismantle the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 4-1

Chase:

The Crunch beat the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Penguins 4-1, making it 12-straight home wins for the Crunch, which is a new franchise record. This is due in part to goalie Max Legace. The Crunch have now won 8- straight with Legace in goal. Here’s what coach Ben Groulx had to say about his season thus far.

Coach:

He’s been our best player for the past 25 games. When you have a goalie like him anything is possible.

Chase:

The Crunch have scored 27 goals in their past 6 games. They now have a new goal leader.
Gabriel Dumont has 30 goals which is tied for the most on the team. Couch Groulx praised
Dumont but also other players on the team for their milestones during this season.

Coach:

Dumont had a great season. Legace had a great season. A lot of people had a good season.
That’s why this team climbed the ladder in the standings and we’re in second place. I’m very
happy for Dumont. He’s a leader. He’s been the heart and soul of this team. He’s played all the games. I don’t think he’s missed a game all season. It’s pretty special. He’s been a leader in good and bad moments but obviously a great season for him and I’m happy for him.

Chase:

To end the regular season, the Crunch play the Laval Rocket here at Upstate Medical University Arena. Puck drop is at 7pm. For CitrusTV Sports, I’m Chase Avery.
