Syracuse Men’s Lacrosse dominates in 20-2 win over St. Joe’s.

(Drew) In Syracuse’s 20-2 victory over St. Joe’s attackman Joey Spalina spent most of his time right there at X. Spalina, by the way, finishes with a season high four goals on the other end of things goalie Jimmy McCool for the Orange… Well, he had 10 saves in between the pipes, but whether it be right here or at X, despite different objectives, both Spalina and McCool have each other’s back both on and off the field. 

(Spallina) Well we’ve been roommates for the past two years, you know.So I know you know Jimmy’s always going to have my back and you know he’s a great goalie and he played great today and you know it’s like they were shooting a beach ball. So you know when Jimmy’s playing like that you know it gives the offense some confidence we could gotta just just go and play and make the correct play and Jimmy’s always got us so yeah and go off that. 

(McCool) I’m very glad that Joey’s on my team.

(Drew) Well, it’s easy to have each other’s backs against an unranked Saint Joe’s team. It’s a lot harder against the best team in the country, and that’s who Syracuse faces next against Maryland on Friday at 6 right here in Syracuse.
