Syracuse Men’s Soccer defeats Boston College 1-0
Back in early September after a 1-0 loss to Duquesne and a scoreless draw to New Haven, I’m not sure anyone thought a 3 game winning streak would be in the cards for this years Syracuse men’s soccer team. But after tonight’s 1-0 win over Boston College, the Orange now have three consecutive victories. SU head coach ian McIntyre likes what he sees but isn’t satisfied
Three wins. Three clean sheets, but we certainly aren’t a finished article. That tonight was a lot of passion. That was a big ACC college soccer matchup. They’re a very good team.
A catalyst in Syracuse’s hot stretch is the goalie Tomas Hut. After recording a career high seven saves last week against Cal, the grad student stifled another five today.
I think we’re just really growing into ourselves on the back line and finding ways to win games. We’re finally putting away goals and keeping a clean sheet so happy with the boys in front of me. I love them to death, but we got to keep it going we got SMU next week. That’s a big test.
After an 0-2 start in ACC play, Syracuse can make it three consecutive league wins next Saturday when it welcomes SMU. It’ll be the first ever battle between the Orange and Mustangs. Kickoff is set for 7:30. Reporting from outside SU Soccer Stadium, Adam Hipsky CitrusTV.
