Syracuse Men’s Soccer Dominates Loyola

If you blinked or were late walking into the game, then you likely missed the Syracuse offensive onslaught as the Orange dominated Loyola 6-1, with two goals coming in the first five minutes. Head Coach Ian McIntyre was pleased with how his team started on the front foot.
“I thought we started extremely well. You know with getting out of class for a Monday game, it’s a quick turnaround after playing Friday night. You can tell on if your guys are ready based on how you started. We started so well to score a couple of goals, and it was obviously a very good first half,” said McIntyre.
“Midweek games have been tough for us this season. This is what we needed. It was a big win. I feel like the big difference between last year and this year is that we’re used to each other. We know each other and we have great relationships on and off the field. It shows it in the ACC games as well,” Giona Leibold added.
Syracuse looks to continue its strong offensive play when it heads to Louisville on Friday for an ACC matchup. The Orange hope to defend the top spot in the ACC Atlantic against the 11th-ranked Cards
