Syracuse Tennis Caps Off Home Slate With 4-3 Upset Over Boston College

Galati: “Syracuse Tennis wrapped up their home slate today with a 4-3 upset over Boston College. It was senior day inside Drumlins, honoring the player graduating this year, Sonya Trescehva. And Head Coach Younes Limam says it was all about showing that fight for her.”

Limam: “We wanted to do it for Sonya today. It was her day today. We talked this morning about battling, and no matter what happens, we win the doubles point, we lose the doubles point, we’re going to go out there and compete and play for each other, so yeah, it was a great day.”

Galati: “And it was right here, along the Court 5 baseline, where junior Zeynep Erman sealed the afternoon. Now she’s only featured in a coupe duals this season after undergoing surgery over Christmas break, but Coach Limam couldn’t be prouder of the effort she put in today.

Limam: “I think it was huge for us and for her individually. You know, she hasn’t been in a situation like this for a long time and she battled a lot of things since the beginning  of this semester. So just having her come through for her team and clinch it for us was huge for her and I know she’s been working hard and just getting ready to be in a position like this.”

Galati: “Well the weather is pretty miserable out here, but the Orange won’t be complaining when they travel to Miami on Friday First serve is set for 5 pm, follow along @CitrusTVSports on twitter for live updates from the dual. Reporting from Drumlins for one last time, Philip Galati, CitrusTV.”
