From the JMA Wireless Dome, to SU Soccer Stadium, and all the way to Drumlins, there’s something about playing on the hill for Syracuse Athletics. Men’s and Women’s basketball both went 14-2 on Jim Boeheim Court this year, and Syracuse Tennis has picked up right where it left off. The Orange are 8-1 on home court after picking up a 6-1 win over Buffalo. After coming back from a road trip to North Carolina last weekend, head coach Younes Limam said how nice it was to be back in familiar territory.
“We’re very grateful and we’re always very excited to play at home. Drumlins members and other people come and support us and show a lot of love and support means a lot to our team. I know that we’re comfortable here and also a lot of teams don’t like to come and play us here. I mean we’re used to these fast indoor courts and it helps our players. So yeah, really looking forward to next weekend and then keep going.”
Today’s tilt against the Bulls marked the last out of conference matchup for the Orange this season. So now, it’s all ACC from here on out. Syracuse welcomes in 6th ranked NC State next Friday at 3:00. Last year the Wolfpack beat the Orange 6-1 down in Raleigh.
