Syracuse Tennis Steamrolls Fordham for a 2-0 Start to the Season

Syracuse Tennis can’t stop winning. After a 7-0 win over Army on Saturday, Syracuse responded with a 7-0 win over Fordham. A different pairing for doubles compared to yesterday, and after the match Head Coach Younes Limam said that throughout the course of this long season, he wants to see what he’s got and mix things up.

‘“It’s early in the season so we’re figuring things out,” said Limam. “We have a few players that’s going to be joining our team soon too and just trying to come up with options. In the ACC it’s very challenging and it’s a long schedule so we’re just trying to see now what combinations would help us when it comes to it.”

“Today’s match was a lot more challenging than yesterday,” Limam said. “I’m really proud of the team and I thought on some courts we responded well with our body language and our energy when it came down to those last few games.”

Syracuse is now 2-0 this year, the same spot they were in after opening weekend last year. Now next weekend, the orange welcome in another Atlantic 10 foe: St. Bonaventure. The Bonnies have already lost this year, 6-1 against Navy, and now next weekend, Saturday at 11:00 they will face the Orange right here at Drumlins Country Club
