Syracuse Volleyball Falls to Iowa in Straight Sets in Home Opener

Syracuse Volleyball fell in straight sets to Iowa in its home Opener on Friday Night. Head Coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam believes that Iowa’s mini scoring runs made the difference.

“We allowed them to have too many runs where they scored 4 or 5 points. If we would have reduced  those runs we could have had at least one set possibility two. Maybe a different outcome in this match as well.

Even though SU couldn’t get the win, Coach Ganesharatnam was really happy with the crowed support. 

“The atmosphere was really good…. The student section was great, I hope they keep coming back.”

The Orange fall to 1-8 on the season. They will looked to rebound on Saturday against Morgan State. First serve is set for 2pm.
