After dropping four consecutive road matches Syracuse volleyball returned home. SU had its chance to grab its first ACC win of the season. unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be. The Orange fell 3-0 to Virginia Tech. After the match head coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam put it very simply saying the performance wasn’t good enough.
“We just didn’t have enough control and that’s the bottom line. I do think in general there were too many components we had to constantly fix in order for us to compete.”
“We just didn’t execute well enough and I’m not sure if it was fatigued or a lack of mental focus. If I knew I would be sitting somewhere else.”
The Orange drop to 2-13 on the season and 0-5 in ACC play. However, Syracuse will have its chance to grab that Elusive conference win back here on Sunday against Wake Forest. First serve is set for Noon.
