Syracuse Volleyball’s Season Comes To An End With A 3-0 Loss To Pitt

Syracuse Volleyball opened the season with a straight set loss to Navy back in August. Fast forward to today, its only fitting that SU falls in straight sets this time at the hand of  number three PITT. While this season was far from ideal for SU. Head coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam said there’s a lot to be learned for the years to come.

“I mean this whole process started about 14 months ago and we knew it was going to be a long-term project. I think today you saw two programs that are in different stages in the development.” “We saw a team that is ranked within the top five and realistically has the opportunity and skill set to compete for the championship in this conference. That’s something we want to get eventually, that’s our aspiration. I think the season in general was good for our young players especially to see how much work that requires. How much dedication that it requires in order to compete in this really tough conference. So I think all that is very valuable”.

2-26 overall this season and 0-18 in ACC play is the final tally. These numbers mark the worst season in program history for the Orange. However, there is always a positive when you hit rock bottom. The only way is up.
