Women’s Soccer Ends Season with First Winning Record in a Decade

Syracuse Women’s Soccer ended their season last night. In a 1-1 draw with NC State, they got their first winning record in a decade.

The players and coaches were emotional after the game, including Head Coach Nicky Adams.

“Taking over this program has had its ups and downs. But it’s really cool to see all the changes that we’ve made over the last three years finally come together and the belief that the players have,” Adams said.

Graduate student Blue Ellis played in her last game. She’s grateful for her team.

“I’m grateful for my teammates. You never know what type of situation you may get in with transferring. From the start my teammates were helpful, nice, and encouraging. It’s just amazing to be surrounded by them on and off the field,” Ellis said.

There were four graduating players on this roster, but 19 underclassmen. That means the program has a bright future going forward.
