Winston-Salem N.C. – The Orange took their fourth straight loss against the Demon Deacons Thursday night 76-60. Wake came into the contest at 13-14 and looked like a ranked team at times opening up leads as big as 23 points.

SU shot a lot better in this one as they upped their field goal percentage a full 10 percent over Sunday’s loss to NC State. It still shot under 40% with a decent, but not spectacular 38%. The Cuse didn’t shoot better from downtown, and they ended the game with a 30% clip.

Teisha Hyman was the star of the show offensively. She put up 26 points on 10/20 shooting. She also chipped in six boards and an assist. Teisha has been a little on and off lately as she has flipped between games above 15 points and below in her last five games. Her 26-point performance was her best since Sunday the 13th against Pittsburgh where she put up 31.

The Demon Deacons were able to do whatever they wanted in the pain last night. Forward Christiana Morra put up a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds. No Orange player had more than six rebounds.

SU was down early and after a 10-0 scoring run by Wake in between the first and second quarters, the game was over. The Orange never came closer than nine points after that.

Christianna Carr had a nice return to form for Syracuse as she put up 15 points and six rebounds. She also helped out with two blocks. Her first multi-block performance since Sunday the 6th against Louisville when she had three. She hadn’t put up more than 14 points since Sunday the 30th against Pittsburgh.

The Cuse now sit at 11-16 overall with a 4-13 record in ACC play. They have one game left in the regular season. That game will come on Sunday as Boston College will come to the Salt City. The Eagles and Orange will finish out the regular season by doing battle at 12PM.
