In game one, Madison Knight returned to her form from last season with an incredible day on the mound. But at the plate Taylor Posner was the true star of the day. Against Evansville the junior launched her second home run of the season with a three RBI day. While the Orange cruised past Evansville with a 10-0 victory, against ULM Posner and the offense just kept cruising

Against Evansville, Posner got the scoring started in the third. Against ULM, she did the same with a single down the right field line which scored two. In the 5th, she added another home run to left field and gave SU a three run advantage with just two innings to go.

While Taylor Posner and Syracuse’s offense was on a roll, the Pitching Staff was also stellar. Lindsey Hendrix got the start on the mound for the 5th time this season. The senior pitched over 5 innings only giving up 3 hits and one run. It was the fifth time this season that Hendrix has pitched over 5 seasons and also her fifth win on the year.

Jessie Dipasquale came into the game in the 6th to finish out the game. The UMass-Amherst transfer faced just 6 batters in her 1.2 innings pitched, giving up 1 hit and striking out 1.

The Orange look to continue to keep the offense alive today as SU has another double header against Northwestern State at 12:30 and the University of Louisiana at Monroe at 5:30.
