SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Two National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Americans, Ryan Guthrie and Ravian Pierce, signed their National Letters of Intent to play for Dino Babers and the Syracuse Orange on Friday.

Guthrie, the eight-ranked junior college outside linebacker prospect according to Scout.com, recorded 139 total tackles for Ellsworth Community College in Iowa this past season. In addition, Guthrie lead all junior college players with 107 solo tackles and tacked on 7.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. He was also named and NJCAA First Team All-American.

Pierce signs as the third-ranked tight end and the 30th ranked junior college prospect overall, per Scout.com. In 2016, Pierce recorded 50 receptions, 426 receiving yards and two touchdowns for Southwest Mississippi Community College. He too received All-American honors from the NJCAA, being named as an Honorable Mention.

The two will look to fit in nicely with Head Coach Dino Babers’ squad next season as three linebackers and three tight ends from the 2016 roster are expected to graduate.
