There were nine shots and three goals in the final 15 minutes of tonight’s game. After trailing 2-1, Syracuse scored two goals to knock off Louisville 3-2. The clincher was scored by Quirine Comans, who credited her team’s resiliency for helping beat the No. 4 team in the country.

“We kept on fighting until the end,” explained Comans. “We’ve done it during the season, it’s what we do, it’s what we’re good at. We just know that, whatever happens, we’re going to keep on fighting and going and that’s what we emphasized in the last quarter. We were just doing us.”

“We have very good players and the ability to go up, go down, come back, we haven’t really been in that situation this year and I think that they handled it beautifully,” said head coach Ange Bradley. “I’m really proud of them.”

“It means so much because we’ve been focusing on bouncing back and resetting after we get scored on,” stated Comans. “This night showed that and I’m so proud of them.”

SU earned its fifth ranked win of the season and first against one a top-10 team. The Orange improved to 13-3 with an 8-0 record at home, their best mark since 2015. Syracuse plays its final game at J.S. Coyne Stadium against Rutgers at noon on Sunday.
