Syracuse Softball Falls to NC State 3-2
On a frigid Friday afternoon in the Salt City the Syracuse softball bats were as cold as ice the orange fell to the wolf pack of NC State 3-2 today and could not score a run until the bottom of the seventh inning. o head coach Shannon Doepking it’s not an ability issue but an issue of the team’s mental toughness when it comes down to the big moments
“I think when you get really really intense because here comes a game and oh gosh I haven’t had that that’s it’s not a question of whether these guys know how to do that all right we could create machines up as fast as we want them to.” Doepking said.
The offense didn’t show up today for the orange the pitching did Lindsey Hendricks threw a pretty good game giving up only three runs all three of those runs came on solo homers and Coach Doepking said she’s okay with that
Through the first two games of this series against NC State the pitching has been solid. In game one the offense showed up in game two it didn’t. Game three is tomorrow at noon, the orange have a chance to win their first ACC series of the Season.
