Syracuse Volleyball falls to No. 11 Georgia Tech

It is believed that the Georgia Tech Mascot the Yellow Jacket produces the most stings in the US. And even though Volleyball is played inside. Syracuse got stung in its straight-set loss to Georgia Tech. After the match, Head Coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam gave full credit to Georgia Tech.

“So they ranked number 11 out of 334 programs. And I think they are for good reason. They have a very complete team. They have very good hitters on the pins but then also in the middle. And they have very good Liberos and setters who can run the offense very balanced. It’s a good team. They can do a lot of things at a high level. But they can keep the system simple and just focus on executing at a high level because they are capable of that”.

“We can compete. But just apply that more and it’s apparent that we are making a lot of errors. We’re making lapses and not locking in. So I think those are things we can take from this weekend and try to better”.

Su falls to 2-20 on the season and 0-12 in ACC play. They’ll be back in action on Wednesday at Boston College. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
